GSRA Local Chapter - Guidelines
Local Chapters are encouraged! Georgia State Retirees Association (GSRA) realizes that local membership chapters are essential for adequately informing retirees about State supported benefit programs and for supporting the goal to educate retirees about the benefit programs. GSRA recognizes that Local chapters will create a balanced organization that provides retirees throughout Georgia with a voice regarding activities that affect their well-being.
The GSRA Board has developed guidelines and standard by-laws that encourage and support the development of local chapters. In addition, one of the local chapters developed the paper listed below on "Tips for Starting a Chapter." Members who are interested in organizing local chapters should contact the Membership Chair (Membership@MyGSRA.com). Officers and committee chairs of a properly formed and operating local chapter will maintain communications with the GSRA officers and appropriate committee chairs.
